Dr. Shura Bugreeff graduated from UC Davis in 1991 and worked with the Genetic Disease Control Institute for Animals at Davis for 3 years while practicing emergency medicine in Sacramento, California. At the GDC they researched various breed lines to determine where various diseases were originating from and certified radiographs for elbow and hip dysplasia. This eventually led her to work with breeders and begin her reproductive practice. For 5 years she was the “private doctor to the rock star dogs,” and her clientele was composed of only show dogs near northern California. At this time she also expanded her practice to include traditional Chinese medicine involving acupuncture and herbs. Two years ago she moved to Victor, Montana and bought Noah’s Ark Veterinary Practice. Here, in addition to traditional western medicine and emergency care, she offers reproductive services, has a Clone semen bank, and provides chiropractic care along with the traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Bugreef is a member of The Society for Theriogenology, the AVMA, the CVMA and the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
